Golden Lays

Most tipsters tell you which horse will win. Golden Lays tells you which ones won't. This is horse racing tipping built for exchange punters.

Most selections are lays. Laying means betting that a horse will lose. You do it on Betfair or another betting exchange, where you take the bookmaker's side of the bet. If the horse loses, you win the stake.

Laying is a different game from backing, and it suits punters who like plenty of their bets to come in. You'll need an exchange account to follow it. Now and then there's also an each-way bet, where you get paid if a horse wins or finishes in the places.

Each selection comes with the race and the horse, so you can place the bet quickly and get on with your day.

Since June, every tip has been recorded and settled in the open, win or lose. More than 300 tips so far, all there to see.

If you already use an exchange, or you've always wanted to try laying, this is a straightforward place to start. From £10 a week, or £74.18 for three months. Cancel any time.
