Liverpool are unbeaten in three league games this term and have won their last three meetings with Atlético, while the Spanish side arrive off the back of a 3-0 defeat at Athletic Club and will need a response.

Eight flat races are on at Redcar from 13:21 to 16:54 on good ground, while jumps fans have a seven-race card at Sedgefield from 14:00 to 17:05. Carlisle also stages an afternoon jumps meeting, and there's all-weather action at Kempton Park this evening. All eyes then turn to Doncaster from Thursday, where Aidan O'Brien's Derby winner Christmas Day is a general 7/2 ante-post favourite for Saturday's Betfred St Leger.
